WHAT ARE PELETS?

Wood pellets in the very short period have become the fastest growing biomass sector. Consumption of pellets in Europe alone amounts to about 25 million tons per year in 2017, and by 2020, three times higher consumption is expected.

In 2020, we go one step further and get the ENplus certificate and thus become the first specialized pellet store in Croatia with the Enplus certificate.

Pelets are pressed wood residues (sawdust, chisel etc.) obtained by mechanical pressing in special machines without the addition of any chemical means. They are made from fir, spruce, oak, beech, ash, grape, poplar, lime, etc. As a binding agent, lignin is used as an ingredient in wood and is released at high temperatures.

Wood pellets have the advantage of being an ecological product with no sense of lack of comfort in the face of oil or gas heating. Only ash should be cleaned occasionally.

The advantage of pellets is certainly the fact that they have high energy content, are easy to transport, can be easily stored, have low emissions of harmful compounds, and additionally by heating the pellets in your home introduce a cleaner, richer and healthier microclimate for you.
